This day Prince of Calcutta has became a hate boys for all media & fans also. I was just amazed to see that.
Let me tell you before writing that I am a fan of Saurav Ganguli, not a diehard but at least I like him & I can assure you that I can’t see bad things happening. Just a small amount of statistics I would like to give you. In one day he had got more than 10000 run in least time with 22 centuries, only second to our little master Tendulkar. You would be delighted to know that he started his career only in 1996. In test also he has more than 5000 run. Still people go to kill him. When he is performing or Indians are performing he is a poster boy of Indian team.
After his captainship only Indian cricket came to exist on the world map after the bad era of 1990-2000. He was the player who had performed better than any player in any of the final matches which India had played. Most of the time in the final he will either hit a century or half century or his performance will be outstanding in the game. My friends say that India lost 14 final consecutively. I would like to assure them that earlier India didn’t reached even in the final, it was outwitted in the initial game itself.
And if it happens to you that on the playing day if you are told to drop down from the team where you are captain , what would happen to you. Ok Mr. Greg chappell would have told him earlier and discussed that matter. Even earlier when some fine is there due to slow over rate or players temperament , only captain is panelized , why it so.
Mr. Greg chappell should not forget that he only mentioned him as the best player, so why can’t he motivate him on place of playing a truce against him.
At least give him one chances to prove himself & then take a decision on his future. I feel this will be best in the interest of Indian team & his cricket. And let me assure you that one of the best captains in the World cricket Mr. Steve Waugh has rated him one of the gutsy player who fights, so give him chances.
